About us

We are a full-service publishing house, part of the Study Inn education company. The history of the Publishing House began with a small bookstore for language school students in 2009. In 2011, Study Inn initiated the adaptation of foreign educational literature to meet the standards of Kazakhstan's education system. A methodology room was set up for the adaptation process.
In 2014, these initiatives culminated in the creation of an educational publishing house known as Kokziek-Horizon. This publishing house specializes in the development and publication of educational materials in Kazakh, Russian, English, and German. 1. Kazakh language for schools

Kazakh language for schools with non-Kazakh language of education series "Balapan", "Baisheshek", "Bateyrek", "Til-Bairak"; series "Tilashar", "Boitumar", "Til-Orda", "Aldaspan"; Linearity of training and metodology complex from 1st to 11th grade: it was created by one author's team. In Kazakhstan, this is probably the only textbook that has the same authors from 1st to 11th grade. Availability of the Lexical Minimums student handbook. This is not just a dictionary; it includes the very words found in the textbook, with each entry accompanied by examples of word usage, including word combinations and sentences. Such a manual is not available in the training and methodology complex of other publishers.

2. English for schools

English for Schools "Eyes Open for Kazakhstan", "Think for Kazakhstan" and "English in Mind for Kazakhstan" by Cambridge University Press; "Choices for Kazakhstan" and "New Success for Kazakhstan" by Pearson; From 2011 to 2014, Study Inn together with Cambridge University Press conducted a project on easy adaptation of English textbooks of Primary Colours (grades 1-4), Messages (grades 5-8) and English in Mind (grades 9-11) series. Textbook adaptation is the process of modifying original teaching materials to meet the requirements of the Kazakhstani education system. The textbook English in Mind for Kazakhstan is authorized for use in 11th grades of general education schools. In 2015, a project was launched to adapt English language textbooks according to the program of updated content of education of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The project involved a deep revision of the Guess What (grades 1-4), Eyes Open (grades 5-8), and Think (grade 9) educational literature series. As a result of the work done, the textbooks Eyes Open for Kazakhstan and Think for Kazakhstan by Cambridge University Press are authorized for use in grades 5-9 of general education schools.

3. Entrepreneurship and Business Fundamentals

Textbook for 10, 11 grades of general education schools with Kazakh, Russian, Uyghur and Uzbek languages of instruction. It is crucial to guide children who aspire to start their own businesses, providing them with guidance on taking their initial steps. It is a very challenging, thorny path. The students we educate may likely possess a multitude of intriguing ideas and the capability to initiate their own ventures. In recent years, approximately 128,000 schoolchildren have voluntarily chosen to study this subject, even though it was not mandatory. Now 6-7% of high schoolchildren start a business. If even 10-20% start doing business, tens of thousands of enterprises will open. They will create jobs, pay taxes, which is very important for the country's economy.

4. Russian Language for Schools with Russian and Other Languages of Instruction

The authors of the textbook emphasize that the educational process should closely resemble real-life communication conditions. The entire system of teaching should naturally cultivate the students' desire for communication and impart the necessary skills. Therefore, the textbook makes extensive use of communicative exercises. First of all, the training and metodology complex is aimed at: Cultivating the ability to communicate fluently and effectively through both spoken and written language across various forms of speech activities; proficiency in using the Russian language as a means of communication in diverse contexts and situations; developing readiness for interaction and mutual understanding in everyday life, educational settings, scientific discourse, socio-cultural environments, and business spheres; encouraging a commitment to continuous improvement in speech and communication skills. To this end, the textbook implements the basic principles of general didactics and psychology, which is especially evident in the educational tasks of bilingual nature.

5. Kazakh-Russian Entrepreneur's Dictionary "Kasipker Sozdigi"

Kazakh-Russian Dictionary "Kasipker Sozdigi": Dive into the Linguistic Essence of Business. An exclusive creation brought to life by the 'Atameken' National Chamber of Entrepreneurs of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Your journey to mastering Kazakh business vocabulary starts here. The dictionary includes approximately 500 words, each of which is accompanied by interpretations and common word combinations with translations into Russian. Apart from the Russian-Kazakh alphabetical index of terms, it also includes a compilation of challenging-to-spell and pronounce abbreviations that are commonly used in the business world. The dictionary is designed to cater to a diverse audience, including entrepreneurs, business partners, professionals with a keen interest, and consultants from financial institutions and organizations.

6. Mentor's Guide to On-the-Job Training

The manual "Mentor's Book" is intended for mastering by specialists of enterprises the skills (actions) to conduct training of students and young specialists at their workplace. Professionals have been asked to use the same workstation in both a professional environment for teaching a student and a pedagogical environment for a novice mentor. The apprentice learns through productive actions, the mentor learns through pedagogical actions relative to the apprentice. The apprentice in the book designates the job position in the enterprises of college and university students.

7. Notebooks for preschoolers "Getting Ready for School"

The "Getting Ready for School" series of notebooks is designed for preschoolers who are preparing to become first graders, as well as for younger students for handwriting correction. Children are accompanied by the characters: Squirrel, Turtle and Leopard, who learn together with them to write letters and numbers beautifully. The "Learning to Write Letters" notebooks aim to introduce children to the world of sounds and letters, assisting them in developing a neat and graceful handwriting. Notebooks "Learning to write numbers" will familiarize children with the world of numbers. Classes will promote math development and strengthen the muscles of the hand. First the preschooler will learn to write numbers by reference points (Part 1), then to circle them and perform tasks with numbers and objects of the surrounding world (Part 2), then learn to circle numbers, coloring fun pictures (Part 3).

8. "Spiritual heritage of Ahmad Yasawi"

The book reveals the main provisions of the spiritual heritage of the great Turkic enlightener, poet and thinker of the Islamic era, Khoja Ahmet Yasawi. The conducted study of the spiritual picture of the epoch of medieval Turkestan shows the contribution and the role of the personality of the outstanding founder of the Turkic school of preachers of Islamic culture. For centuries, the school of ascetic dervishes promoted the spread of Islam in the expanses of Turan on the basis of the concept developed by Yasawi. Iasi and then Turkestan became the spiritual and educational center of the Turkic peoples. The author defines the synthesis of Islamic values and Turkic folk traditions as the fundamental core of the worldview of the eastern Sufi philosopher.

The collection "Let Me Tell You a Tale: Folktales of the Peoples of Kazakhstan" includes 32 tales of ethnic groups living in the Republic of Kazakhstan. Why is the book called "I will tell you a tale"? All of the tales are recorded as audio narration. Narrators are famous artists, servants of theaters of Kazakhstan. The book presents various fairy tales narrated in the voices of well-known personalities from Kazakhstan. As the child listens to these fairy tales, they learn proper expressive reading and the appropriate intonation for the various characters in the stories. Scientifically, this technique is called "Reading with accompanying listening," where a child reads and listens to a story at the same time. Each audio file is complemented by a musical accompaniment. Thus, the child immediately perceives the story with all the senses: by ear (the narrator's voice + music), visually (looking at the pictures), tactilely (holding the paper book in the hands).

10. "Kazakh Musical Literature"

The training and metodology complex on Kazakh musical literature is created in accordance with the educational program on the subject "Kazakh musical literature" for children's music schools and music departments of children's art schools of the Republic of Kazakhstan (with 8-year term of study), recommended for printing by the methodical council of the Republican Educational and Methodical Center for Additional Education (Minutes No. 3 of September 15, 2011). The textbook is designed to foster and enhance the moral and aesthetic culture of students. The textbook is accompanied by a workbook, a teacher's guide, and assessment materials for the subject.

11. "Mathematics Handbook for Elementary School Children".

The guide is addressed to younger students, elementary school teachers, parents, and anyone who wants to learn math on their own. It contains definitions of the basic concepts of the elementary math course. The materials in the handbook will enable the teacher to utilize it as a supplementary source of information within the educational process. It will also facilitate the organization of independent work for elementary school students, contributing to the enhancement of the educational content in the Republic of Kazakhstan.
